First off, I would like to thank each of you for showing a possible interest in spending some time with me on the water.
A little about me:

I am a proud Florida native having grown up in the East central part of the state. My fishing roots extend back to a very young age as my parents instilled in me a consequential value for the outdoors early in life. Whether it was wading the shorelines of bass filled ponds, canoeing small rivers and lakes, exploring the Indian River Lagoon system, or short jaunts offshore, I was hardly ever without a rod-in-hand. Weekend outings and mini vacations with my mom and dad, fishing throughout the state, were often and always an adventure. It was an era before GPS and reliable “fish finding” equipment which meant, learning through experimentation, trial and error and situational observation. Those elementary fundamentals were ingrained in me back then and carry over to this day.
At the age of 20, I left the nest and joined the United States Coast Guard. That journey took me places I had never dreamed I would visit and or live – from PA, to NC and even overseas. Each destination provided me with new fishing styles and techniques which I still occasionally refer back to. In 2002, I was reassigned to Key West, a home away from home in a way. It didn’t take me long to realize that this is where I wanted to remain. For several years I honed my skills while continuing to serve in the “Guard” using friends as Guinea Pigs. Hundreds of hours were put into poling different flats, learning the patterns and habits of the marine life that called them home. In 2006, I left active duty for a life of uncertainty as a “Fishing Guide”. I remained in the Reserves as a safety precaution just in case I failed. Now ten years later, I am retired (twenty total years of Coast Guard service) and look back on that venturesome decision I am so glad to have made.
The Backcountry and Oceanside flats surrounding Key West and the Lower Keys are nothing short of breathtaking. From Big Pine Key to the Marquesas, the overwhelming beauty of the flora and fauna is incredible! Not a day goes by when I am not grateful for what Mother Nature has provided.

Each day on the water I learn something new and see something unique to that particular day. The passion is what drives me and that feeling of excitement remains strong and no catch goes unappreciated. Trophies aren’t caught everyday but memories are always made. From the most seasoned anglers to the beginners, all are welcome to come and have some fun. After all, that is what it is all about.
